Two Australian Coins Being Phased Out (5 and 10 cent)
The head of Australia's national mint has predicted the "graceful death" of 5 and 10 cent coins within the next decade, leaving the 20c coin as the lowest form of circulating currency.

We don’t care.

By then the nano bots from our forced vaccinations will have embedded themselves in our cerebral cortex’s.

It’s all good man.

Smart. It annoys the hell out of me we still use pennies. They should round everything to the nearest quarter, have dollar coins, and phase out dollar bills.

Yeah, let’s all round up 25% on the dollar. It’ll work out in our favor.

I'm surprised they didn't say all cash will be phased out.

In all honesty ,though, change is a nuisance...

Everything should be in dollars, no change is needed at all...

A waste of resources...

Got a moneyjar full of echidnas and peacocks; pain in the ass to use when shopping.

The platypus coins are still good to use, but prefer the 'roos and indigenous fella.

They phased out 1,2,5 cent coins here years ago plus $1 and $2 notes. Don't miss them.

it's only a nuisance because everything costs 10x more than it did and that is all arbitrary anyway.

just reset the currency.

Reading that set alarm bells off in my head. The Treasury mints the coins. Is it a coincidence that at the same time the Federal Reserve, the Treasury and Blackrock all merged that they suddenly start keeping the coins instead of issuing them back to banks?

At least they are being Phased out. Here, they just announce "coin shortage"...with no explanation.

Well, they tried the lie of less spending during the covid shut-down, due to less establishments being open. But that is a LIE. All grocery and retailer such as Walmart did probably triple sales...so, coins still in circulation..just a more concentrated circulation.

Yeah, their $2 coin, which is actually smaller than their $1 coin.
Any sarcasm in this post is purely intentional.
