A commercial jet was overhead, coming in on it's final approach. It was descending and had it's throttles back. You could here the engines wining from the drag. As it approach over the house, all of the sudden all the crickets around the house instantly "came on"! As the sound of the airplane increased so did the crickets, and as it passed by and faded out the crickets just lowered in volume and "clicked off" “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”; Thomas Jefferson |

One of those times where you're walking by and could just about point to where it was. P.s. I take that back, I can hear them now that the air conditioning is off. It's a throbbing hum like a cats purr. How in the world do you type the sound of a cricket chirping? Must be mating season. Last Edited by Desert Dude on 08/22/2020 06:44 AM Yeah I did it, and it can't be undone. |
