Why are you taking exception with the time and not with the fact that the last call laws exist in almost every single state in the nation? Isn't that where the freedom actually is, in allowing bars to stay open 24/7 no matter what? The time is irrelevant if the action in question still exists.

I've spent a lot of time in South Dakota over the years. And, you're right in every respect.

We're stuck on going west for our summer travels...drive 12 hours and go from mid-nineties and 80% humidity to mid-seventies with 12% humidity.

We love both states(and WY, and Utah). Just a little peeved our 45 year streak of going out that way has been broken.

I can do all of that with NO booze. it is not essential at all. and I don't need to destroy my lungs with cigarettes and vaping.

If you need booze to socialize... you have a problem. I grew up in an alcoholic family which raised the hair on my own spire.

10 days ago I let a crying neighbor around the corner in to my house and she was do drunk she fell .. and then she fell at the end of the driveway... and took out my mail box. She would not allow me to get help to get her up so I gave her booze counciling for over 1/2 hour before she got herself UP and then I walked with her.. holding her hand to her house and then she fell up the steps.. so I left her there.. and came back maybe 15 minutes later and quietly looked at her... and she apparently got into the house.

This woman fell while drunk maybe 8 months ago and had a sub dural hemorphage that had to be evacuated.

WHY IN FUCKING HELP IT IS NECESSARY TO TURN YOUR BRAIN AND LIVER IN A DILL PICKLE... I NEVER COMPREHENDED THAT. I AM A RETIRED NURSE AND I SAW ENOUGH OF THAT SHIT IN THE HOSPITAL.

AND HY DO YOU some of you smoke and destroy your lungs? I have watched many people do that.. one friend even just in case kept the breathing equipment of a elder relative if she ever needed it.. She is fully on oxygen now.

My own mother was a mean drunk... the lady up the street is a nice drunk who drools and such all over me giving me hugs and kisses. I agree with another poster, if this bothers you, why aren't you bothered about all last calls? Why can't bars be open 24/7? Why does Clorado force liquor stores to close at 12? And why can't you buy beer between 12am and 5am? You are up in a riot but where were you two years ago?
