Thank you all for the prayers for me. I called the retirement system today and I get my first retirement deposit July 1st and my healthcare continues as I wanted! Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |
NOLAangel User ID: 80849968 United States 05/26/2023 11:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Life is still crazy over here. Dad is doing ok, so far. But poor guy is having everything start to break on him. His washing machine, his cell phone and I just noticed what looks like a termite tunnel in his living room. Dad says the termite tunnel is old and that he sprayed and treated it a year ago (He used to work in pest control), but I don't remember it. Anyway, when it rains it pours. However, God is in control and I am so thankful that He is. So, in everything I just Praise God. I could never get through this without Him. Praying for us all. |

Fluffy Pancakes User ID: 36573613 United States 05/26/2023 04:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Prayers for all here, and praises for the good results! My husband's oldest step daughter (crazy previous life) had a really, really bad car accident. Her fault entirely. Her three year old daughter was in the car on the impact side and only received a few cuts and a few stickers fixed her up. But the step daughter has serious steering wheel impact on her chest and some pretty heavy duty contusions. She'll be okay, but off of work for at least a full week and the car is beyond totalled. She blew a stop sign and got t boned at 70mph. The people who hit her weren't hurt badly either. So HalleluYah on all the protection Our Heavenly Father provided! If you can pray for her to heal well and find another affordable car...and to drive with full attention on the road in the future, that would be awesome. The little boy who was mauled by the dog is recovering well!! And we've sold all of our livestock!!! Blessings on all of you. Shalom shalom! Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it. When I do log on I read all the posts and my love goes out to you. I worry that If I post and then forget to include someone, it certainly would make me feel unhappy later, hence no individual names on my replies at the moment. I am a bit all over the place with things going on, but you are all loved. What choice do I have but to be myself? Everyone else was already taken. AfterAll User ID: 85698096 United States 05/27/2023 07:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I came out of paganism, yet I have read the bible and find no reference to the manner of celebrating both Christmas and Easter and I read online that these celebrations are rooted in paganism. I saw the examples. The tree brought inside. Gift giving. The pretty wreaths that don the front doors. The globes of the god Saturn. The yule log. The lights that were candles. The traditions are all from paganism. When I became a believer, I had to throw away all symbols of paganism, the gods, the symbols of them, thousands of dollars worth of beadwork and jewelry and anything that has any symbol or practice in them. I had to completely divorce myself from traditions that honored gods. I was told that paganism and the belief in one God is incompatible. And I agree with that. I have no remorse for ridding myself of the reminders of this so I can lead a Christian life. In the same vein, would not the paganism of Euro-Asian peoples also be incompatible with belief in one God? I was shocked to read that Jesus' birthday isn't even Dec. 25. That it is a birthday of Mithras, a god. And that before Jesus, the got Horus was born of a virgin birth. I know not to believe everything on the internet, but I traced the sources. They appear to be correct. I thought surely the bible would explain the two largest feasts in the Christian religion, but the practices aren't there. The only practice I see that is lined out is that Jesus told how to celebrate communion. And God told his desert people how to celebrate Passover and the 7th day rest. That's all I found anyway. So I'm wondering if anyone can explain this to me. And if that isn't appropriate for this thread, maybe just pray that I'll find the answer somewhere? Thanks! I will feel better because now it seems a disconnect. One of the first thoughts I had on becoming a believer was that I could join in on these major feasts. Christmas is so beautiful. The pretty lights and decorations and the cheery attitudes of people during that time. Thanks for your prayers. |

The increase in dose for the Gabapentin has me brain fogged and emotional to the point I cry over stupid things. Member Paranoiaaaa says they will pass as do the online side-effects I have researched. Please forgive my erratic posts until I get over this. I can now walk without my walker but I also get dizzy and need to be careful of falls. It is even difficult to use the laptop. While I was forced from my job to retirement, I don't believe I could do it now with these side effects. In any event you are all in my prayer daily.
