Quoting: Simple27 He just recently had pneumonia. Sheesh, I think only a few weeks ago. Well, he wasn't feeling great yesterday while at work and he works around a lot of people so he decided to take a home covid test last night after work. Kind of to ease his mind and also to know whether or not to be around a lot of people today at work. He was feeling tired/drained, a little headache and a little sore throat yesterday. He's not an over-worrier at all, but he's in tune with his system. He took a test when he got home. Positive. He didn't believe it and took a second test. Positive. Ugh. He has COPD, heart and lung issues. Had literally just gotten over pneumonia and that was scary. And here we are again. Today the cough started and has gotten worse and worse throughout the day. Please just say even one prayer for him. We have to keep him out of the hospital. And we will so long as his oxygen stays good. We're throwing everything at it right now as far as medicines and vitamins. He's in good spirits and even wants to get things done around the house, which of course I won't let him do right now for obvious reasons. Prayers going up for Nef. Just got back from the hospital. He's getting iv antibiotics. Doctor said the iv rounds will be done tomorrow and he should be able to come home. My hub can't swallow properly and that's how he's getting pneumonia--secretions work their way down into his lungs. Plus tbh he puts his fingers in his mouth when he shouldn't at times to pick at dried phelgm..we have a suction machine I'm always nagging him to use...sorry if tmi... Suggestion--Clear Lung from Amazon or Vitamin Shoppe... [link to www.vitaminshoppe.com (secure)] also liposomal vitamin C like 1500 or so... [link to nutrivein.com (secure)] it's sold out on this website but you can get it from amazon.. and sisu Vitamin C supreme worked the best, but it's from Canada and takes awhile to get here... here's a US Source but I usually get it from Amazon [link to vitasave-us.com (secure)] it contains quercitin and arabinogalactan which you can get from Larch tree Bark supplements---known to strength the gut but helped him I think with the immune system... Larch tree bark supplements are easier to find and not as expensive as the Canadian product... Elderberry syrup is helpful, Walmart has a store brand I get for about 8 bucks B12 and Zinc....of course the horse paste as well in small doses can't hurt... tylenol for fever...if you could get an antibiotic z-pak seems to help the best for him--problem is after awhile it doesn't work or they have to switch the antibiotics around... Even with all the vitamins he still gets sick due to reasons above...but the sisu stuff kept him out of the hospital for about 2 years prior to pandemic....and even during the pandemic... maybe consider getting a neti pot in lieu of a suction machine to flush out phlegm.... putting this on here in case it helps Nef or someone else... love you all and thank you again for prayers and praying for all of you. eta paxlovd imo doesn't work...if he is prescribed it be careful can make things worse...my hubs never received it but some friends did and they stopped taking it after like 2 days Last Edited by Bastetcat on 07/23/2022 02:40 PM Life finds a way. |

You're amazing for offering to help others while you have so much going on. I will look into those supplements. We do have the liposomal vitamin c, but not the other vitamin c you mentioned. Thank you again! He's not as dizzy today so we have a little improvement. He slept a lot today and the cough is still pretty bad, but he's okay. :) Continued prayers for you, your husband and all here. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Storm* User ID: 72524839 United States 07/23/2022 05:54 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Prayers said for everyone. I didn't have a very productive day today cleaning house. I sorted through two closets. My plan is to start posting on Facebook or Craigslist with the things I want to give away. I will be off Thursday, Friday, and Saturday next week. So I'll try to do the give aways Thursday and Friday, and hopefully have a garage sale on Saturday. I've been warned against storage units being worth it in the long run. I saw a local sale for 50% off the first two months. As long as there's no contract, two months would be perfect. I can't believe how many pet items I have. All from when I had my pets and also fostered. I'm donating all of it to a rescue. Beds, crates, carriers, new toys, clothes, leashes. You name it. That's the plan. Praying I can stay motivated. I am proud of how much I did this week. A few hours a day. At first I was kicking myself for not doing enough. But just one 57 year old doing it all is somewhat impressive I suppose. |

tiger1 (OP) User ID: 79267566 United States 07/24/2022 12:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have come down sick with a whopper sinus infection. I had to go to Urgent Care this afternoon. I was feeling pretty nasty for a few days, very congested, sinus headache, dizzy, etc. I am stubborn, and I hate doctors, but it was past time to get antibiotics. So, the doctor has me on 875mg of amoxicillin twice a day for the next 10 days. I took one of those blasted huge horse tabs at 5pm, and it literally knocked me out until 10pm. When I woke up, Mary K had taken care of the dogs, done the dishes, closed the drapes, etc. I will have to lay low for a few days, and no church for me tomorrow, for sure. Prayers needed, as I am really getting kicked over here. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

MySoul User ID: 83744965 United Kingdom 07/24/2022 02:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | BastetCat You are so caring of others when you are going through the wringer. My prayers go up for you. I have always gone out in early autumn and collected elderberries to make into a syrup. Between homes at the moment I hope I can manage to do it this year. Simple Prayers for Nef Storm I have to have a pile for the charity shop. I cleared out all my old banking statements etc. and would normally burn them in the garden, but beacuse of the heat I have been unable to do that. Found that I can use them for packing - keep screwing up a sheet or two and stuffing them to stop things moving around. I am 76 and certainly do not want to move again once I get into my bungalow. Have to put most stuff in storage for a while and go into temp. accom and hope all the paperwork goes through for my new place. Tiger Many prayers for you too. I know you don't like doctors so you must be ill. TrustNoOne Get well soon. Sinus issues are awful. What choice do I have but to be myself? Everyone else was already taken.
