2h22 in the morning it is cold outside and I am at work already, making pastries and different kinds of breads with my nephew and Sébastien the other apprentice, corsican men at work! Not lazy like these continental french...!

Talking seriously here. Corsica is great for having a second home and going there for visits during free time. Especially from Cannes. It's really easy, you are really not far.

Living there full time is a different story. I know I wouldn't. Every time you need something, you have to ask the Mayor or whatever local politician. If you are not voting for them, they will do nothing for you.

Medical facilities are really bad. Hospitals are bad. People need to fly to Marseille to have surgery. Family feuds are regular practice. One trying to steal the family house from the other, hiding successions, corrupt notaires, they take bribes. They all take bribes. They will kill you without any hesitation, use intimidation. No care if you are young or old. It's the same.

The one with the most money wins. Administration is so slow. You need a paper of some kind it will take forever. Lucky if you get it at all.

Corsica has got its good share of immigrants. Ghisonaccia is full of them. Bastia and Ajaccio has them too.

I mean it's your life and it's your choice. I speak the language and all that but one thing I know is that I would not move there. I am talking from experience.

Keep your bakery in Cannes. You are a King.

The Christmas specialty is Buche de Noël.
(translation: Christmas log)
They come in many different flavour. The classics being chocolate, coffee, chestnut, praline and vanilla.
some liquor optional.

They are really delicious.

Like my buddy Concorde Warrior said, the main thing we make in France for Christmas is the "Buche de Noël", it's a traditional dessert for the Christmas night, after we have eaten like pigs and drunk like kozaks (I don't drink for Christmas because we go to church at midnight)

I also make some special pastries personally, with rhum chocolate and dried grapes, it's my grandmother who used to do this 1nd I decided to make the clients know this, I sell them all every year since I started working at the bakery.

At the bakery we also give homemade chocolates to the children of the school which is few meters away from the bakery, it is a lot of work but I don't care they have the right to get a little present from me and my wife. The chocolates are made with santa-claus shapes and all.

I take Christmas seriously, I don't fool my clients because those who buy here are Christians, I treat them with respect.

I have received a liquor from Marseille today I will make you taste it, my friend after the second glass you will roll under the table

And after Christmas the times of the "galettes des rois" Start, you folks would love this, there are different ways to make them, with almond paste, or with brioche and dried fruits and a little rhum. I really like this time of the year.
