Sports is now politics. Sports is supposed to be pure and not a platform for anything else. This breaks my heart. I will now find something else to fill my free time and drop my love of all sports and this is very hard for me to do. For me sports is now dead.

Nope. I'm conservative as they come, but also a HUGE sports fan, and I'm not going to let politics get in the way of my enjoyment of pro sports.

And I'm sure most sports fans feel the same way. We can tune out the "BLM" stuff, while still enjoying the games

If there is any "boycott" of sports it will be no more than 5-10% of fans, and only for a short while

Well, in Minnesota they just announced that the Timberwolves and the Linx may be sold to the owner of the Cleveland Browns. Glen Taylor gets it. It’s over. No one is going to these games anymore because it’s too dang dangerous to go to downtown anymore. We used to go downtown on a pretty regular basis from a far off suburb. Twins games, orchestra hall, theater, Vikings games and an occasional concert. This along with staying overnight in a hotel sometimes and going out to dinner with drinks. That’s all gone now. So one has to wonder....if they don’t fill stadiums and people are too scared to walk to their car or go out to eat without being assaulted, how long before the teams have to be sold and they go elsewhere? As long as the threat to people is there, they will not go. People also go to Gopher games...same thing. As long as this virus requires social distancing and masks, no one is going. They don’t want to get sick in a big group of people and they don’t want to get beat up.
