For me, he is just a con artist who played alot of people.

The uk gov knows this, thats why they held him. They by now will know all his history, and know if they are holding him, for a reason or not.

The public were just conned by assange.

So it's OK by you to have murder of innocents as government policy. ?
 Quoting: Solon 67232477

Terrorists aren't innocents. If they cared about their families or their families cared about the innocent lives terrorists take, neither would be with each other.

Craig Murray is one of the few people inside the courtroom.

Here is his account of yesterdays circus.

[link to www.craigmurray.org.uk (secure)]
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79355195

"At the end of the day I had the opportunity to speak to an extremely distinguished and well-known lawyer on the subject of Baraitser bringing pre-written judgements into court, prepared before she had heard the lawyers argue the case before her. I understood she already had seen the outline written arguments, but surely this was wrong. What was the point in the lawyers arguing for hours if the judgement was pre-written? What I really wanted to know was how far this was normal practice.

The lawyer replied to me that it absolutely was not normal practice, it was totally outrageous. In a long and distinguished career, this lawyer had very occasionally seen it done, even in the High Court, but there was always some effort to disguise the fact, perhaps by inserting some reference to points made orally in the courtroom. Baraitser was just blatant. The question was, of course, whether it was her own pre-written judgement she was reading out, or something she had been given from on high."

Old habits die hard...

Assange should be freed, with immunity form everything at this point. He was doing the job that the press is supposed to be doing and aren't.

I thought Trump loved him during his campaign for releasing dirt on Clinton.

I thought Assange kept saying he had a safety deadman deadhand massive information release.

Has this information release ever happened? Was it just a bluff?

That was all bullshit. Remember wiki was lost to the see eye a?

And you have to pay attention. They aren't prosecuting Assange for the publication of information, they are making the case that Assange helped the leaker in either obtaining the info or covering up after the fact. Journalists are not above the law.

Trump the candidate didn't know things that Trump the President now knows, btw.

Yes that's where they are going with this. From what I gathered today they convinced the Grand Jury that Assange directed Manning that would make Assange a Co-conspirator in the hack. Some new Documents were presented yesterday, and Keep in Mind Manning is still in custody in Virginia.

So much for the dead mans switch and the long ass password for the file. Whatever happened to that.
Dude overplayed his hand and let his ego and need for attention colour his judgement.

Yes he has a large Ego for sure. Borderline Narcissist. Im wondering if the Defense will let Assange take the stand? Could be a disaster if he does.
