FACT: early in the COVID-19 outbreak, ALL "experts" were saying the same thing Trump was... including Socialistic mouthpiece Dr. Tony "the Phony" Fauci. And Trump was merely quoting those who claimed to know everything.... including Fauci who has flip-flopped more than a fish on a river bank and as a result has caused the President needless embarrassment in the process.

FACT: Since the days of ancient Rome, leaders have always downplayed social dangers when they weren't readily obvious to the masses... and even when they were. That doesn't mean there was malice involved but instead the actions were intended to comfort those who were already doomed. When Mt Vesuvius erupted in 79AD, local Senators maintained the status quo right up to the grim end because they knew escape for everyone from Pompeii was impossible... but that those trapped by the noxious atmosphere and ash cloud would at least die quickly.

FACT: when imminent danger approaches, the most basic of animal instincts surface in human beings and a herd mentality kicks in where a "fight or flight" scenario prevails with people killing each other to survive. One need only look at the footage of panicked, stampeding mobs trampling one another for proof...and there's PLENTY of such film around.

QUESTION: if you were facing certain death, would you rather know about it and be subjected to the psychological terror or instead have it take you by surprise and swiftly to your grave?

I'm old enough to remember the Cuban missle crisis when the U.S. was THISCLOSE to being wiped off the face of the map by an incredibly stupid President Kennedy. I recall those terse Walter Cronkite news bulletins, and the frightened looks on the faces of everyone you saw as hardened adults became crying children. And when the people in charge are that scared, what do you think it does to the rest of society?

I can also compare this to natural disasters: I come from "Tornado Alley" and witnessed my first twister up-close and in-person at the age of 6 and it was terrifying as I saw otherwise rational adults panic and throw themselves into the nearest ditch. Decades later I saw the home my father built with his own hands ripped to shreds by the 1990 Andover KS tornado, so I've even walked among that kind of devastation.

In between those incidents I lived in California for ten years and experienced many EQ's and was always, ALWAYS grateful that they occurred spontaneously and without the warnings sounded by those yellow Tornado sirens of my youth because you had no time to prepare or worry... you simply REACTED by holidng onto something secure, rode the temblor out and picked up the pieces afterward. And to this day, I'd much rather go through a massive EQ than another tornado.

Something tells me you have never experienced a time when your life was in immediate danger. But when you do, you may understand what I'm talking about.
