WRONG!

If you'd click on the link provided in the original post, and read the report, you'd know that the allotments are based on past Medicare funding.

West Virginia receives a very large amount of Medicare funding. States that get small amounts therefore have more people who have private insurance.

Future funding will be allocated differently.

That said, the amount of money per COVID case seems incredibly high. I wonder if this report is accurate.

Good grief! Why is Kansas getting $291,000 per case? That is ridiculous. No wonder our worthless governor is trying to claim that it's the Republicans trying to make this all political in the state until after the elections. She's just projecting her own guilt over this whole scam!

Thanks Lance, I look forward to seeing what your research discovers. I have heard (as most of us have) that hospitals were getting something like $13,000 per COVID patient and another $30,000 if they put that patient on a ventilator.

According to this Becker article, some states are then getting another HUGE chunk of money per COVID case. Are the states going to use that money to support their citizens who were harmed by COVID? Or, will this end up like the BP Oil Spill money that was supposed to be used to help the environment and businesses injured by the spill, but instead the money often went to very "questionable" uses?

However this works out, thankfully the U.S. can simply print money out-of-thin-air, and if we need a few Billion or even Trillion more....NO PROBLEM! Plenty more where that came from $$$$$$$
