And then after landing successfully, they had to take off from the moon and meet up with another fast moving orbiting object to journey back to the Earth...

Your right, the lunar lander might be considered by many to be even more sophisticated a feat because it had to support astronauts, land with fuel, take off, rendezvous with an orbiting craft, and it did this successfully many times without having been fully tested in the environment of the moon...

But Apollo did land on the moon for real but the govmt didn't want the public to see astronauts interacting with aliens on the moon so public was fed a fake video while astronauts were actually on the moon. I remember going to a space museum where they've showed one of the capsules of one of the mission. I looked at that metallic thing and looked for the seals. At that time I was about 13 years old and was interested also in the thing called vacuum. I was flabbergasted and thought 'NOOO WAY'
