Need more info OP. So, why does the sun get turned-off? Some Galactic Gov't didn't pay the "electric-bill"?

Yes it could be a bit like that. A loss of electrical current to power the Sun. Wallace Thornhill (the real Aussie bloke) reckons himself and others within the Kronia group have looked up our spiral arm of our galaxy and claim to have found no indication that any of the street lights (stars) on our street have lossed or gained power. That doesn't mean much though because if they did find something dangerous there is absolutely no way they would speak about it publicly.

Some stars do appear to dim slightly from time to time for few hours but the phenomenon is caused by extrasolar planets transiting a star. I don't think our Sun will dim, however it might have some subtle tricks up its sleeve that could really take us by suprise. In fact the Sun is behaving strangely right now.
