But the logic was sound, it drove all those characters together enough to where they HAD to be driven apart. Great writing. |

So many shows never get the chance to round itself out, rushed or not. |

They had to have had experts from the era on staff - no one else would even know this stuff and it rang so true from what I have lived. I really love the show because it is as accurate as I can tell while not copying the exact companies involved. |

They covered the essence well in the early seasons, while keeping the technological aspects accurate but weaving in the early characters well into the last end. Obviously, one group didn't break ground for decades, but they captured it with the characters they had while making it "feel" real. |

I was sad when it ended, but very happy to have got to watch it. I'm glad they didn't dump it one or two seasons in because it was no "mad men" or "twd". I feel they gave that show and it's writers and characters justice by soldiering on the way they did in the face of "poor" ratings(comparatively). Ironically enough, I bet it's streaming numbers are stronger than the other shows mentioned. So I had some hopes of it getting picked up, but that's just wishful thinking. Thankfully, I can always watch it again and hopefully get a sense of that first amazing watch through. |

Not only did they do a great job "telling the story" of the tech revolution, the characters were excellent and the sub plots were great. I've watched it a few times. The tech history was pretty spot on, the only issue I had with it was the packet sniffer lol. Other than that everything was real and possible at the time. Even when they get to comet (yahoo) vs rover (google/webcrawler). The entire series was a great trip down memory lane, and you really rooted for (and against) all of the characters in the show at one point. |
