Because we have let them. For whatever reason we all universally decided to start looking out for number one. Back in the 80s people used to protest or strike and the government were genuinely concerned when coal started running out or fire service stayed in their fire stations while property burnt to the ground. Now anyone who even suggest such things is deemed a maniac, someone to avoid. Sheep really does explain people so well. Thing with sheep is you only need to control one, get that one through the rabbit hole and sheep follow without question. It’s hard to get any alternative message out there though. Everything is banned on the internet that does not follow official guidelines. We really are living in 1984 circumstances. Where news is so jumbled no one knows what to believe.
