I watched a valid state nominating convention for Ralph Nader a few years before. They let everyone leave before validating the signatures and quit getting the signatures one they got to the minimum instead of gathering the other people in the halls paperwork witch would have gave them a 50% pad.

The Secretary of State instructed his flunky to invalidate the convention paperwork to keep Nader off the ballot promising him a job for life. At least the Dems kept that promise. They have highly paid parking places for their friends and losing candidates all over the state.
