It's because the homeless would get violent if they were actually quarantined or locked up just like the left gets violent so they get away with riots and huge gatherings. If the right wasn't full of pussies this scam never could have gotten started and certainly couldn't have gone on this long. I've been alive for nearly fifty years and every time politicians start going dictator I always here the same thing out of the right, nothing but bitching and excuses as to why they can't do anything. Tell me if some of these sound familiar:

"That would just be giving them what they want!"
"That would make us like them!"
"Tone down the rhetoric before you start trouble!"
"This isn't the place for that kind of talk!"

I could go on. I was heavily involved in politics for decades, now I don't give a shit. The left are all nuts, the right is all talk and both sides are full of hypocrites and greedy liars. There isn't enough people in the middle to get anything done anymore so politicians and billionaires do whatever the hell they please and laugh at everybody. They know nobody gives a shit about the homeless, the right won't do anything, the left are morons and the people in the middle are right but almost completely alone. As long as they keep the news media from showing the homeless in large numbers and keep the left busy bullshitting, our dear leaders and there billionaires masters can do whatever they want including murder the elderly and get away with it. In short, everybody on all sides can stuff it.

"When the COVID pandemic arrived on U.S. shores, public health experts predicted that the nation’s homeless population would be hit hard. The April outbreak at the Union Rescue Mission on Los Angeles’ Skid Row – epicenter of the region’s homeless crisis – appeared to bear that out.

More than 90 people tested positive for the coronavirus, and Gerald Shiroma, a 56-year-old resident and employee, was the first homeless person to die. “It hit home,” recalls Reverend Andy Bales, CEO of the Union Rescue Mission, who would lose two more residents to the virus.

But while there have been significant outbreaks in shelters, the most dire predictions – including one made in a report published in March – do not appear to have materialized, according to recent news reports.

The Los Angeles Times reported last month that “the powder keg has yet to go off” for the county’s homeless population. As of August 26, 35 homeless people are known to have died of COVID-19. Just one homeless person is known to have died of COVID in San Francisco, and no such deaths have been reported in San Diego, according to a mid-August report by the Associated Press..."

The town i live in which has nearly 9000 people i have seen someone wearing a mask maybe 8 times since this started all but 2 were out of towners. We have had 11 "positive" cases and one death which was a 86 year old man who had a heart attack.
