Makes perfect sense now doesent it? The EU & USA dont act because they want Turkey to expand opperations into Dagestan and Chechnya and bring about the collapse of Russia, its the same as why the USA funded the Taliban in Afghanistan. To bring down the Soviet Union.

Pakistan are actually the primary cause if the Soviet Afghanistan conflict through their intervention against the local government this alongside socialist policies lead to the insurgency against the Afghan government & their request for Soviet Support.
