Quoting: Little Lost Physicists from the University of Queensland used mathematical modelling to reconcile Einstein’s theory of general relativity with classical dynamics. The clash between these two systems is behind a famous flaw with time travel, known as the grandfather paradox. Einstein’s theory allows for the possibility of a person using a time loop to travel back in time in order to kill their grandfather. However, classical dynamics dictates that the sequence of events following the grandfather’s death would culminate in the time traveller not existing in the first place. “As physicists, we want to understand the universe’s most basic, underlying laws and for years I’ve puzzled on how the science of dynamics can square with Einstein’s predictions,” said Germain Tobar, who led the research. “Is time travel mathematically possible?” “The range of mathematical processes we discovered show that time travel with free will is logically possible in our universe without any paradox.” [link to www.independent.co.uk (secure)] White privilege. |

The alternative idea is your future self goes back in time, but inhabits your own younger body, thus at any time, only one of you exists. Ony your mind travels back in time. Or the multiverse theory where a time traveler from the future goes back in time, or so he thinks, but in reality he went to an alternate parallel reality where he is not from, but affects their timeline when he introduces himself to a younger similar version of himself. Thus he does not affect his timeline. |

A chain of events occurred such that it wasinevitable that you would go back in time and warn yourself. We alternate through them moment by moment, weaving in and out with every decision and thought we make, even if ever so slight (they refer to this as the butterfly effect) timelines overlay like pages of a book, and stretch to infinity. For fun, think about doing something… anything, look across the room and think about picking up an object, prepare to go get it… Now don’t. There are two lines, do you see them? Well in actuallity there are infinate lines of possibility but for this we're looking at two. What have you changed by not picking up the object? Your life has been significantly altered in ways that you will never know because of your decision. You could still go pick up the object, it will change many things if you do, but what? The decision is yours, and they are yours every day, second-by-second in everything you do… Which is why it is important to choose wisely. As for the grandfather paradox; if you were to go back in time and kill your grandfather. You simply have killed your grandfather. A line already exists for which you have anyway, you’ve really done nothing that wasn’t already done. O, Father, Mother, Son, Daughter 11011 o . _ [ ] [X] |
