Are you going to cart your gold and silver into Walmart to buy stuff? Not happening. If Armageddon happens, your priceless gold and silver will be just that, priceless. It would take YEARS (a lot of years) for it to get to the point that gold and silver actually mean anything.

What is going to matter would be skills, food, and bartering your items. No one will give a flying f*ck about your gold and silver.

And if all of that goes down, and you don't have the physical version, where are you going to go to get them? Nothing will be open, including wherever you bought your gold and silver.

i mean thats cool if you can pay a contractor in gold.
