Rantz: Video shows Tacoma teacher scold 10-year-old for admiring Trump

I hope this teacher is sacked - what an asshole.

"Elsy Kusander’s 10-year-old son logged into his remote classes for another day of online learning on Friday October 2nd. Little did he know he’d be scolded for his support for Trump.

Each day, Stanton asks his students a daily question. This time he asked students, “Who is the one person you admire and why?” Students are asked to write their answers in the online chatroom. According to a screenshot, Kusander’s son wrote:

'I admire Donald J. Trump because he is making America great again. And because he is the best president the United States of America could ever, ever have. And he built the wall so terrorists couldn’t come into in the U. S. Trump is the best person in the world. And that’s why I had admire him.'

Stanton almost immediately kicked the student out of the chatroom, deleted the chat, and proceeded to attack the president, while calling out the student for mentioning him. The student, who I am keeping anonymous, immediately told his mother..."

The teacher then lectured the class, referring to President Trump as "that individual" as being hateful and divisive.

The mother is very articulate even though English is not her first language. She's calm and delivers her points firmly and logically.

The teacher tried to bring up politics regarding the southern border, pandering to her saying "you would understand". The mother told him that she's from Honduras and is an American citizen who came here legally, that she loves this country and teaches her children to respect the position of President, whoever is President. She explained she wants her children to love and respect this country.

teachers have no business teaching politics or putting their bias into anything

When my kids were young, we always had dinner together and I would correct any wrong opinions being pushed on them by their teachers...we live in a conservative state though, IN...

Stanton was so offended, he apparently wouldn’t even say the president’s name. Instead, he referred to Trump as “that individual.” But he wasn’t done.

“Again, that individual has spoken hate to many individuals and I don’t think is an appropriate example for a role model that we should be admiring,” Stanton concluded.

Real simple. Homeschool your kids.

Sounds like the teacher's behavior just got more votes for Trump.

This is what the teacher wants the children to learn:

President Trump = Hateful. Bad. Unlawful.

Violation of 8 U.S. Code § 1325 (Improper entry by alien) = Good. Lawful.

Terrorists = Protected citizen, don't offend them, don't hurt their feelings.

Student who is a legal citizen = No first amendment for you. Shamed for admiring the POTUS.

One of the best things that has come out of the whole quarantine thing has been parents seeing the indoctrination that they kids have been receiving at school. Something the education establishment has been trying to hide for decades.

Until people start suing the schools (including colleges), this is going to continue. It's like the concept of chewing a poptart into a gun shape and getting suspended for it. They want to push their agendas and invalidate parents. You can rant and send letters. You can speak at board meetings. Unless you hit them in the wallet, you'll do nothing.

Maybe so, but anyone who actually talks to their kids knows this has been going on forever. My oldest is a senior in high school and we had our first "interesting" discussion about what he learned in school that day when he was in the first grade.

Too often, kids are disciplined by terrible teachers who are purposefully full of shit. My daughter told me she was being attacked daily at recess by another student. I went to the school to ask about it. The teacher said it was misconstrued and my daughter a liar. I walked to school one day at recess time and caught the kid beating on my daughter to the point my child was on her back being smacked by a big fat slob boy. This was kindergarten! The teacher watching the scene was doing nothing except telling him to back up a little from my daughter. The school's story changed immediately. The teacher said she couldn't discipline the other kid because he was "special needs". We homeschooled after that.

What does it do to a child's self esteem when a teacher and administration lies?
