Hurricane Delta at 7pm made landfall near Creole, LA as a CAT 2 100 mph. At 8am 10/10 it's 40 mph near LA border tracking NNE.
Hurricane Delta is currently in the Caribbean sea with sustained winds of 100 mph.

Once past the Yucatan peninsula, it's forecasted to strengthen to a CAT 4 and headed towards the Louisiana coast. Expected to make landfall early Saturday morning.

water has cooled near the coast bc of the weather and the last storm causing upwelling, just dont see it getting that strong

Update:

Storm is intensifying even faster than original post. It's sustained winds of 110 are 1 mph from a CAT 3 and expected to reach CAT 4 before the Yucatan peninsula.
