Re: Supplements that may help ptsd and depression.
I am seeking supplements that will help with severe ptsd and depression stemming from psychological trauma.

I am not looking for a high. Cannabis makes me paranoid. I am looking for something that will help with the flashbacks, anxiety and sadness.

I have been on every prescribed antidepressant that there is, and im giving up on drs ever helping me.

I have tried lithium oretate, 5 htp, vitamins etc. many various things.

I will never be fully healed but I would like some quality of life. I know something out there will help.

Please no rudeness as this is hard for me to even reach out and ask for help.

Three “sessions” of 125mg MDMA iis having tremendous results with PTSD and depression.

That being said, how long did you give the lithium. It takes about two weeks to really start working

I did take Inositol for some female problems I had awhile back. I took Ovositol brand. It had no effect on issues.

To add, some serious folks believe that 5-htp, tryptophan, and other pre-serotonin "aids" are actually more harmful than we think.
SSRIs are harmful by the same mechanism- increased serotonin.
The partial success of SSRIs seems to be because of an increase in allopregnenolone in the brain.

200 mg of pregnenolone do wonders for anxiety.

Hi Fireborn. Best advice I can give is for you to try a product from Canada called Truehope EMP. It helped me overcome some serious anxiety, depression and stress, also due to a psychological trauma. That was years ago and I still take it daily. I started on CBD recently as well and also find that to be extremely helpful. Might be worth re-investigating as all CBD's are not created equal. It's a bit wild west out there, but it's worthwhile finding the right product. Feeling superb these days!

Vitamin D3, 10,000 IU a day for two weeks, then 7,000 IU a day. Completely cured my lifelong chronic low-grade depression in two weeks, never to return.

Another thing that can help is ten minutes of exercise (I used to just turn up the volume and dance around to the music, it improves your mood.) Also, just go outside if that's all you can manage.

And cut way back on sugar, sugar is the bane of our civilization, a truly seductive and dangerous drug. Severely messes with the brain chemistry.

It's hard to do but you have to focus on positive things you have to love yourself you have to forgive yourself for whatever happened letting it happen for how you reacted I do not know why you're depressed but I went through about a 6 month phase of severe depression just your ago and it's terrible you can't sleep you can't eat but you have to forgive yourself you have to ask for forgiveness and you can't hold a grudge to whomever harm to you whatever happened happened it's in the past you have to move forward ask god to forgive you if you don't believe in god then make sure you forgive yourself

Re: Supplements that may help ptsd and depression.
It's hard to be properly nourished when depressed. Sunlight, moderate exercise, some social interaction with positive people and basic nourishment can clear many cases of depression.

The B vitamins (b12 in particular) give energy and have improved some seriously depressed people. Most people are deficient in one or more vitamins unless paying careful attention to diet or supplementing. People overdue it, too, but certain vitamins can be argued to need more than is commonly recommended, like vitamin c.

The hardest part for a depressed person is attending to themselves and that hardest step can break the circle.

First, there are B12 dermal patches that time release it over a 24 hr period.

Secondly, they mean psilocybin "magic" mushrooms, hallucinogenic mushrooms in small doses.

Also, MDMA (ecstasy) and LSD in regular and small "micro" dosing have helped people. Before they were both outlawed there were many mainstream psychiatrists who were amazed at their therapeutic results vs depression and thought they were the next great leap in psychiatric treatment.

It's hard to come by in certain areas and taking them without some guidance, especially for the first time, is not prudent.
