I don’t believe it got magically fixed, because in my experience whenever I think something like you describe has happened, later I realize it was the other side of the car, the other headlight, and yep, the rock chip is still there after all. So take a closer look at the other headlight.

(we have no pool or water nearby, and they clearly appeared in the middle of a 9' high deck. It started 4-6 years ago? Other odd things showing up on people's property that have no known origin (we live in the country and I don't remember the last item, but was a chair or something way too large for a crow to carry). When I was a kid I found a pumpkin in my bed, and at age 38 I asked my parents about it and they still had no idea where it came from. You're not crazy, but I don't have a good explanation. Someone felt bad for you and fixed it, whatever dimension they were from maybe. You should play the lottery :) Cheers!
