I opened a ChiChis in Florida when I was a "kid", that's when I really started to love Mexican food and I watched the cooked and learned how to make it, sure wish it was still there.

I just bought the tillamook alfredo starter sauce the other day at Walmart I think it was, anyways, I thought it was new and looked like it would be good, it was pretty icky, not good at all.

My favorite quite alfredo now are the Rice A Roni ones, I especially like the angel hair parmesan, super good, tastes like restaurant quality, especially if you tweak it out.

Everything was better in the 80s...

Man, you ain't kidding, I remember stopping by on the way home from school, always getting extra cheese, that was the best part, they'd put huge pile of REAL cheese on there, was so good back then, everything was totally homeade.

I really loved the enchiladas they had too, or enchiritos, of course all that gone now.

They still have Reggie Jackson bars?

Also (and I REALLY mourn this) King Kelly Orange Marmalade. I grew up with King Kelly for over 50 years, then one day I went to the store for more and there was none. I looked in ALL the grocery stores, and it was gone. Come to find out it had been bought by Smuckers which promptly took it off the market. Now all there is on the shelves is Smuckers Orange Marmalade which is so sweet that it sets your teeth on edge and yet has no real orange flavor despite the appearance of orange zest.

Remember the Pepperidge Farm Double Chocolate cookies? They were so good! Chocolate cookie with chocolate chips and nuts.

Sara Lee Chocolate cake.... I remember sawing off a frozen piece after school and eating it frozen.

Furr's Cafeteria: So yummy.... those puffy white rolls and green beans with bacon.

Chicken Ceasar Salad Pita... Wendy's used to have this. It was a chicken ceasar salad in a yummy flat bread. It had shredded parmesean cheese on it. You could eat it and drive.

Taco Bell Green Sauce. And the Nacho Cheese Chalupa. Since they discontinued both of those, it's not even worth going there anymore (plus they've tripled their prices to the point where a 70-cent taco is nearly 2 dollars now.)

Roman Meal hot cereal. SOOOOO good on those frosty winter mornings with raisins or sliced dates, brown sugar, and a little splash of half-and-half. Kept you going until lunchtime.

Some weird instant peach pudding that was around when I was a kid in the late '60s or early '70s. Don't know the name, but sometimes I crave it. Artificial flavors I am sure, but yum!

Back in the day, McDonald's french fries were cooked in lard and they were superior to all other french fries.
