I have a good story for you all about the canada revenue service...
applied for covid and filed my taxes...
because i both worked for an employer and some was self employed they said i did not qualify...
here was the catch....
unless the cash i collected was put into my bank account they said the cash/income didnt exist...
yes they said that...unless it went into my account it didnt exist...they wouldnt even take a invoice as proof of cash payment... the CRA says it doesnt exist otherwise then we are free to not to have to declare it...right?
Cant have it both ways...a year ago...had i not declared cash income on my return they could have come after me for tax evasion...
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79490224 a year or two ago they never would have said this...they would have gone for anybody they thought wasnt declaring cash received...now they say we cant prove it or use it for income unless we put it into our accounts... why doesnt this work...this is a conundrum they are creating... they cant change the rules mid stream so they dont have to pay relief checks to people who qualify...criminals all of them...
