Funny you should mention Bonnie Henry. She came to mind as I was writing that comment yesterday. Yes, knowing that you have no choice but to do as you're told would play on the mind of some people. Nothing is worth the price you have to pay to play along with psychopaths -- no amount of money, no amount of prestige, no amount of justice-avoidance. It's better to take your knocks now (for whatever they have on you) and be a nobody than to take the bait and suffer the way that Doug Ford, Trudeau and probably Bonnie Henry are suffering. Yes, these three are now household names, many people look up to them, and they're set for life financially, but at what cost?

I would not want to have on my conscience that I sold my country out, that I lied to people who trusted me, and that the policies that I mandated caused immense pain to others. If this road map to totalitarianism in Canada is even halfway accurate, I would not want to be the one helping to implement it. I would want to be the one outing it and fighting it every step of the way, even if it got me killed.
