If they're smart, they're stockpiling supplies, but not telling anybody (including you) about it.

I live in a major West Coast city, and expect serious civil unrest following a Trump victory. My own neighborhood was undisturbed by the George Floyd protests, and I expect it to remain so, but if things get crazy and we have another big wave of Covid cases, I'd rather not be out on the streets any more than absolutely necessary. So I'm re-stocking my supplies with that in mind.

I still have plenty of toile,zt paper, though. I stocked up at the end of January when things were getting really hairy over in Wuhan, and enjoyed a good laugh when everybody else was lost their collective minds a month later.
