Subject The Earth Is Overpopulated, This New Generation Represents "The Beautiful Ones" From The Mouse Utopia Experiments

The total land surface area of Earth is about 57,308,738 square miles, of which about 33% is desert and about 24% is mountainous. Subtracting this uninhabitable 57% (32,665,981 mi2) from the total land area leaves 24,642,757 square miles or 15.77 billion acres of habitable land.

This does not give an accurate depiction of how much land may be occupied by humans as "Under the FAO's definitions above, agricultural land covers 38.4% of the world's land area as of 2011.".

I did the math, taking agricultural land which I assume is needed in order to feed the growing population, leaves us with 2,636,203 square miles of habitable land. Now, there are 7,600,000,000 people on this Earth with only two and a half million square miles of habitable land.

Reminds me of the mouse utopia experiment done in the 60's. When the mouse population reached its peak for their enclosure, emerged the last generation. This last generation did not interact like previous generations and would prefer to sit around, grooming itself rather than procreating to increase the species' population. The last generation were called "the beautiful ones".
