and here we are. no other destination was possible on the path we walked. and what a beautiful destination it is.

I wonder, maybe the term ignorance is bliss is very very true. in ignorance we make wonderful mistakes to learn from. we tread on the other side for a bit to learn stuff our knowing selves would never venture into. the basis of critical thought. doing stupid stuff and incurring the consequences. if we were all knowing or even intelligent, we would never get to experience the stupid first hand.

so if ignorance is bliss, then the ultimate task is to realize our faults, accept them and maybe at some point, even treasure our stupidity.

When we take a knife, we all take one.

Just some of us know and have gotten used to the pain.

and surprising ... the pain isn't actual pain. it is the thought impression you put on incoming stimuli.

it would be a travesty if we allowed past mistakes to define or limit ourselves. maybe of riding the ego too high at one point. then to truly get past ignorance, you would need to embrace your folly and understand it. so one day you don't cringe at past behavior, but instead laugh and learn.

then it doesn't control you. then you don't structure your actions and thoughts around fear, around regret. when you are able to accept and then laugh, you conquer.

Ive found my folly to be more of a teacher than my virtue.

My virtues always seemed snooty and stuck up, but my follies brought a joint and taught me right with a hug.

I know, silly me.

Still, its interesting.

now that you structure it that way...it is very interesting. maybe stasis and virtue doesn't teach at all, maybe it just maintains. maybe folly is the real teacher.

now if I could just learn to learn from other people's mistakes instead of personally needing to run head first into the brick wall ... over and over and over

wouldn't it be wonderful if we could link with each other ... and others...for even a few brief moments through the spirit to share our ecstasy? that would be wonderful. maybe even like bragging a bit.

now that would be awesome. a gift between friends. people even states away that you have never met but you would trust a link to.

That does seem like a very good possibility. very good possibility. maybe on a level we just don't acknowledge, somewhere just below the surface?

Hmmm, I do think we can link. when I get into good conversations with someone who is actually engaged, I think I can feel it. I certainly start sweating like a mofo for some reason during connections.

or maybe be able to record them and post them in a link.

like those memories from life..when you have a certain 'memory' that appears all encompassing. You can feel how it was at that time and that feeling is laid over a mental picture. I don't really know how to describe it. It is like a memory but so much more.
