16 is too young in my opinion, but doesn't qualify as pedo in my book. For most of human history and even today in some countries 16 is perfectly acceptable as age of consent.

I still think a grown adult should not engage in anything with a 16 year old and it should still be a crime depending on the circustances.

That being said, the law should definitely make a clear distinction between sexual activity with 15-17 year olds and actual pedos who like really young kids.

I don't agree. Thoughts are not a crime. We don't want a thought crime world to happen, because one day freedom of thinking will be no longer.

If a pedo or whatever wants to have naughty thoughts, that's their business, it only becomes a crime when it's more than a thought and is an action. just like those that love sex rape, murder zoo sex fantasies etc. It's a persons right to think whatever they want, just not a right to act out on all of that.

I watched a FBI agent discuss this very thing, they said the ones that barked the loudest being anti or extreme in their opinion on pedophiles etc were often the latent pedophiles that were either in denial of their feelings, or felt that if they yelled the loudest against pedophilia the people around them would think they were the least to be a pedo.
