The politicalization of everything is dangerous
I have noticed in the last few years, the political realm like a disease spreading from the halls of Washington DC into many other areas.

Into our purchase decisions, our personal lives and beyond.

The "politicization of everything" is IMHO a deeply pernicious trend and it is a big part of the reason one can't "opt out" the way that was possible even ten years ago. Politics is in your chicken sandwich choice, your sports, the words you use, even if you hesitate too long over a touchy question around the water cooler at work. Politics is quickly seeping into everything.

This is worse than annoying -- it's dangerous. Because "all politics all the time" is a feature of totalitarian life.

In the Red Terror, people would say things like, "thanks to Comerade Stalin, I was inspired to wash the dishes more efficiently after dinner today." Under Mao, transactions at the corner store began and ended with quotes from the "little red book." In Pol Pot's cambodia, failure to dress identically and have identical hairstyles was cause for execution (in fact it was a standing order to shoot anyone with glasses because they would have been bourgeois enough to afford them in the old regime). Failure to comply with the politicization of everyday life's most mundane details was cause for denunciation.

I have turned to fighting back against this sort of group think.

If the Democrats rant and boycott Chik Fil A or Hobby Lobby, I buy a new toy at Hobby Lobby and eat a nice lunch at Chik Fil A.

If the Conservatives rant over Netflix and to boycott them, I up my membership and watch more movies.

Group think is not thinking for yourself but follow the sheep in your group.

If I want a Pizza from Little Ceasers, I dont want to hear from you how the owner is a Liberal or Conservative and will go out of my way to actually buy more and announce it to piss the sheep off.

I have a tshirt I wear that gets confusing looks.
It has a picture of Trump as a orange faced clown, the letters BLM with a red X through them and another of the Corporate Media in the middle as Satan.

It's all engineered to make you think that voting actually matters. If everyone knew the truth, there'd be an uproar.

Politics will (especially this election, and it seems to be being purposefully done with the whole Qthing) steal your birthright - the right to truly know who you are by harnessing your own awakening energies - by siphoning off your righteous ability to change your world and directing all those energies into personalities who have no interest in stewarding those energies for the greater good.

Yes this is a very true and a good point. It's like the US is morphing into a Middle Eastern theocracy where there is no seperation between the political sphere, the public sphere and one's belief and value system in the personal sphere. Politics is identity now.

This is exactly what the manufactured 'woke' movement is; the goal being to get the mouth breathers and 'social media influencers' involved in politics, despite their lack of any knowledge, history, or ANY perspective other than the spoon-fed MSM angle.
