We had a fire start yesterday that got within 6 miles of us, the Cull-Wood fire. Just missed evacuating by a hair. We have lots of dead pine from beetles, dry grasses and fall leaves-not to mention its dry as a bone. We had a little misty rain this morning, but it'll dry quick. The winds are what to worry about- they spread the fire and embers quickly and limit abilities to fight it with 70mph gust. |
