There are clearly a large group of people who will not vote for Trump merely because they don't like his tone. These same people will acknowledge the hoaxes were indeed hoaxes, too (Russia, impeachment, "fine people", etc). So they also evaluated this info and would only pile on if any of it were true.

This is why America has been losing for so long. One team doesn't play by the rules and the other demands their candidates be perfect.
