The electors meet in December to officially cast their votes. The candidate that wins 270 electoral votes or more becomes president.

Not true, those votes still go to the elector... You don't vote for the candidate, you vote for an elector who has promised to vote for that candidate but that promise is not binding and he can throw out another name the party he supports tells him to if Biden steps down
