i did end up lightly pressing this hash with coffee filters, which seemed to work well to dry it out.

As you should be. I have fermeneted foods, made alcohol, tried out lots of things just for the fun of doing it.
I have no idea what you need to bubble hash but it sounds like fun. Good for you!

the bathtub filth.. well you see.. there are a number of women who live in this house and i'm playing a game of chicken to see who will break down and clean it first. so far, you're the first candidate!

that is actually one of my favourite brunch/breakfast fixings!

LOL I like hash browns. I never had hash. I think hash is short for h a s h i s h but I'm not sure.

To prevent the beaters from splashing so much, take the beaters out of the mixer, put a paper plate against the mixer & jam the beaters through the paper plate, then use it with the paper plate attached. That way you at least have some kind of a shield.
I used to do that when beating cake batter & cheese cake batter.

The video was fun to watch, reminded me of panning for gold at the end.

Them coffee filters are good for lining cake pans (instead of greasing & flouring them). They fit 8" round pans perfectl when you flatten them out.

Do coffee filters make good toilet paper in emergencies? Just wondering because of all the survival threads.
