im not a big fan or cheerleader for cops in general - it's a job, they sign up for it, a lot of them suck at it, some of them are really good at it ... i think our state police are incredible, for example, well-trained and professional ...

We all wish it was that simple...ask anyone who has had a child addicted to drugs and hear the agony in their voice from the failed desperation they did for years to save them with "detox" and programs.

The first step is to stop ALL drugs entering our country along with to stop all drug manufacturing domestically.

Good things are happening there, momentum is gaining ... all hops is not lost for Camden and it shouldn't be for these neighborhoods in Philly either.

Indeed but our system is not designed to serve addicts or the mental illness that most often underlies the addiction (as well as alcoholism and "domestic" violence).

We need a mental health overhaul in this country inclusive of laws because untreated mental illness is the real epidemic.
