Nonviolence is more important than morality
Morals are arbitrary and all to often morality is espoused by violent conservatives on a self-aggrandizing warped moral crusade. Typically they are Christian. Whereas nonviolence entails compassion for all sentient beings regardless of any predilections they may have. Morals become outdated and are dependant upon cultural norms but respect for every living being (and this includes rapists) should be of the utmost concern for a tolerant and accepting society.

That's not going to bring them peace.

NONVIOLENCE only works against Christian cultures with at least some remnants of shame, guilt and morality.

When used against unashamed, ruthless theocracy cultures and beliefs, nonviolence only acts as a suicide event.
Theocracy has no shame and no functional limits, and presenting yourself for their abuse serves no good purpose.

Any resistance has to be permanent, not temporary or conditional because otherwise it will be crushed.

You cannot win by trading body for body, you can only win when they run out of bodies before you do.

Dont buy the fantasy that you can retreat from your ground and by doing so win against aggressive, soul-less invaders seeking to enslave you and take your lives and property for themselves.

Re: Nonviolence is more important than morality
Tolerance and acceptance are two different things entirely , the former being what results in boiling over to outbursts of violence.

While we should be nonviolent , logic and 'sensibility' is what got us to our current predicament. If we cannot trust our own morality , then how can we any more trust what we would deem logical , or sensible? Or acceptable? Even what we deem is factual?

Perhaps listening to a higher power , for better or worse , is the only logical , sensible choice. Because that is the only choice we can actually trust.

NONVIOLENCE only works against UNPOPULAR PSEUDOChristian cultures with at least some remnants of shame, guilt and morality that can be, by their obvious corruption can be ripped from their support structure.

When used against unashamed, ruthless theocracy cultures and beliefs of eminent domain and lust for conquest and extermination, acts of submissive nonviolence only acts as an accelerated suicide event..
Theocracies dont care if their oppoents die, that makes their job easier and reaping rewards of conquest faster and less costly
Theocracy has no shame and no functional limits, and presenting yourself for their abuse serves no good purpose.

The REAL morality question to be considered is when your submission to the evil doers permits them to expand their evil to those you should have protected but did nothing to save your own ass by being complicit.

Evil doesnt go away on its own, and it doesnt evaporate by being accomodated.

You have to ask who benefits by pretending theres an effective, safe and passive solution to the invader theocrat.

There is not.

Re: Nonviolence is more important than morality
Nonviolence is a moral idea.

Morals are a human concept anyway. God did't give us morals. He gave us commandments and told us His way. Sin is the opposite of God. Sin has repercussions in life regardless or not whether a person wants to tell themselves that living however they feel like is right and that God is not real.

You lie, you decieve, you covet, you worship material things and money and idolize things, you seek pleasure above doing what is right...it goes from momentary pleasure, to needing more and more sin to feel that same pleasure, and eventually leads to total apathy and despair. Every time. Read Solomon's attempt to find happiness apart from Godnin Ecclesiastes. Like CS Lewis said, God cannot give us anything to fulfill our longing for Him with something else....because that something else does not exist. Only God can fill that hole.

Non violence also isnt practical in the world. If a person breaks into your house with a gun to rob and kill you and your family, it is your duty to protect them. Non violence is a concept that can only ever work in a sinless and perfect environment. Which is the underpinning of what the liberals are trying toncreat, a technocratic utopia where everyone is controlled by the state.

The only way a man ever changes is by a change in his nature. And that can only ever happen by accepting that one is a sinner and accepting Jesus Christ.

Typically they are christian? HAHA get bent you dumbass. Christians aren't running around cutting heads off, lighting buildings on fire, or forcing their members to bendover 4 times a day to worship a meteorite. Christians don't freak out and riot when their ability to butcher a child in the womb might be scaled back in the courts. Who the hell are you?

To me, morals include respecting life.

Nonviolence is cool and all - but we kill things every day to live. Even vegans...

Hundreds of bugs hit your windshield when you drive, and you kill thousands of bacteria every time you brush your teeth.

I like the idea of living in harmony. Not seeking violence, yet being able to defend your loved ones and home.
