Don't forget to stock up on water.

If the power goes out for any length of time...the pumping stations for water aren't going to work. YOu will have water as long as those water towers still have water but not after.

Yeah and people will need to locate a water source or construct a collection of their own because one can only carry and store so much water and once it starts , isn't going to get better any time soon.

I am disabled from stocking up a meaningful amount of supplies. One week is about all I can store. Looks like I'm up shit creek.

Isn't this just taking off the holiday weekend? And it's probably a good idea for trucks to not be on the road with so much traffic anyway.

I don't get it. If I'm going to panic buy stuff, I'd go for rice, tuna, peanut butter, etc.

We are on an acreage with our own well water and septic. I have a 10K generator full of fuel sitting in my garage, all the fuel cans full. Plus my boat out in my shed has about 30 gallons of fuel I could siphon out if needed. I hope with the generator being in the garage that it would guard it against an EMP?

We have been buying lots of supplies-toilet paper, cleaning supplies and other household items. I've been buying hamburger in 10lb tubes and then freezer pack with the vacuum sealer. We been buying other meats(pork & chicken) and freezing it. I harvested over 400lbs of potatoes from the garden and another 100lbs of squash. 30 pints of green beans and I don't know how many pints of tomatoes. I wish I had chickens for the eggs but maybe someday?

The wife and I knew this election would be a disaster, no matter who won. We've been prepping and realize that this is far from over and the worst is yet to come. Anybody that hasn't prepped is going to be in a world of hurt!

I'm surely doing this. Turkey getting bought today just in case.

I figure I've got nine months of heavily rationed, very basic meals already. I'd be calorie restricting but I'd be alive. There are a number of nutritious and inexpensive options available with best before dates in the 2-3 year range. I'm not done stocking up.

I'm on a fixed income. Here in Canada at least it is doable even if you're below the poverty line.

All stocked up. Can go months without human contact if need be. Even have turkeys for Christmas and easter. I knew this was the winter is horrors months ago.

I do plan to pick up a couple low carb dessert options for my mom next week. But can also make them with what I have in hand if things go wonky, I can make something similar from scratch.

Same. Husband is a Teamster and nothing even hinted at a shut down, just the Stop The Tires movement which really is an independent trucker movement. He is doing a search and will contact his rep tonight at work

Kentucky isnt going to have a field to play on. There is like 20 different types of grocery stores here. Only real old folks uses Kroger here.Most folks use Sams or the other warehouse store. Some use Publix.
