what does it mean when your woken up by the sound of the great horned owl at night?

I'm interested in this as well no lapping please. I had a series of series of night terrors when I was looking up the papacy of the pope and going down the conspiracy hole a few years back.

One night I was awoken by an owl screech and felt a burning sensation on my upper back but I was unable to find any information on it. Any feedback/analysis would be appreciated!

Owls are awesome, we have a pair in one of our big pine trees. They are amazing creatures. One morning a couple years ago we awoke to them on our pergola having breakfast of some critter, first just one then the other swooped down and they shared the meal.

Epic, we got video of it.

if I catch any mice with my electronic mouse zapper I will leave the dead mice on the roof hopefully it comes to eat them

there is a big rat by the garage where I feed the birds. it's possible they can sense these ? I maybe there is alot of movement at night

Lots of owls in the woods I live in.. What I gather is that the hoot is actually meant to scare the rodents so that they scurry around, and so the owl can then see them and swoop in.

there was a great horned owls nest this spring on the highway and many people came to take pictures.

it was the first time I was a real life great horned owl, and they are rare.

people with cameras with big lens came to take pictures, and it was quite a event everyday
