Planning on bugging out in Mexico this winter
I’m a Canadian (from Ontario) and it’s getting stupid here. My
Husband and I have decided to pack up our kids and head to Mexico for the winter, maybe longer who knows.

Good idea, bad idea? We go every winter and have spoken with people there, they say it’s pretty chill. Heading to an house in Jalisco / Nayarit area.

Any Mexicans have an opinion?

I'm sorry, you seem like a nice lady, but that's about the stupidest thing I've ever, ever read on GLP. You do know the murder rate in Mexico is literally more than some countries at war?

Also, I used to live on the border, and I can tell you it's like the wild, wild west. I can also tell you from personal experience, overall, the majority of people just plain don't like gringos (white people).

I understand you have a really, super retarded president there, who wants to let the Chinese in, so I don't blame you for leaving, but you're literally talking about going from the pot to the frying pan here.

I have been to Mexico 15 times in the last 10 years. My take on it is, it’s a big country with very diverse areas, people, situations. Canada is quickly descending into communism and I’m not sure I want to see how it plans out.

I am a white guy that immigrated to Mexico 14 years ago. NEVER have had a problem here.

I am not beheaded, never been shot at etc. Never had anything stolen in all this time.

I love it.

I'll bet you you would like it here. You probably would miss winter though. You can grow food from March 1 through the November 30. Livestock does well here. Hunting and fishing is great here. Population density is low.

Your neighbors would like you. Your kids would fit in. Atleast visit and look at some land and see what the requirements are.

It doesn't get bitter cold and we might have six inches of snow twice at most, with it melting off mostly in days.

The ground is fertile. Most people have gardens and can their own produce.

Liberals should not move here though.

You can open carry here and there is no registration. They ended licenses for concealed carry.

The public schools have been full of Democrats since the sixties, but many are ardent Christians. I would recommend you home school.

A big issue in Mexico is kidnapping folks for ransom and people ended up deadand pretty girls forced into prostitution by being sent across the border by coyotes.

Seems foolhearty to go from stablity to chaos in Mexico under corruption so bad that the people have bad wells with foul water and controlled by the drug cartels.

Yeah? Go to Mexico to get prescriptions and then live peacefully in Kentucky. The population is so low in some parts that nobody will be all up in your business.
