Given human nature, if Powell's reply below the surface were as unsure and ambiguous as it sounds, I wouldn't think people in the know (unless they're anti-Trump dark hats) would smile.
If so, why Powell said what she did is due to what? She's being kept out of a part of the loop? An attempt by her to throw President Trump's enemies off the trail?
