Jesus said the opposite.
John 17:3 - And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Per Jesus' own words to have life eternal is to have God, and His Son.
Claiming Jesus is the same entity as His Father, is to declare Jesus a schizophrenic who prayed to himself constantly.
