Is righteous anger allowed for a Christian who makes Jesus first in his life ?

I gotta say it was really cool to see you guys arguing and then become peaceful and loving.

At this point I have accepted that God really is at the helm and he truly does use our passions and emotions to further Advance his cause and will even if we are not aware of it.

Read what the Bible says about love.

Love is indeed patient. Kind. Understanding . Doesn’t hold things against us.

But what else does it say ?

It says love is slow to anger.

It doesn’t say love doesn’t anger.

If you are love and you suddenly enter this world and it’s the opposite of what you stand for and it only sows hatred and deceit, don’t you think you would be angry ?

It’s how we channel the anger so to speak that makes us children of God.

Some people when they get angry they get violent .

This is not the way. Jesus says multiple times in the gospels to pray for our enemies. And bless those who curse us.

And yes we must turn the other cheek.

Jesus says what does it matter what man can do to the body. Worry about what the devil can do to the soul in hell.

Our eternity matters. Not this temporal world.

So yes your allowed to get angry. Just don’t let it consume you. Don’t let it dictate your choices. We have a choice every second of every day. Do we choose life or death. Choose life. Choose Jesus. As another poster said in a different thread put every thought into the captivity of Christ.

Also Jesus says if we show mercy to others, that’s what will be shown to us.

And trust me, everyone needs as much mercy as possible.

There are MANY different ways/lenses we can view this topic being a Christian. One of the lenses is this:

Love ALWAYS protects.

Sometimes choosing life means the death of those who do evil.

Negativity and death destroys itself.
