Is anyone else like me and not able to discuss God with their family members or friends ?

Like don’t misunderstand me.

I am very blessed to have my family and friends.

Truly.

But I just can’t discuss God.

And it’s starting to really bother me.

My mother was a big believer in Jesus and tried to lead many people to God, but like your Grandma she is dead.
In my life I have met quite a few people, but whenever I try to discuss Jesus, most will try to change the subject.
Never forget what Jesus told us:

The road to Heaven is narrow. Not very many people will make it.

Is family really the place to discuss personal beliefs?

Maybe take a class on Theology, or schedule an appointment with a Clergy Member who has a degree in Theology.

What is your purpose in talking about God with your family? To push your beliefs? Or to share love and God's ideology?

I mean isn’t family supposed to be the ideal place to be open about God.

I don’t know that’s what I have always thought.

See here's the thing. We can't think for others, we just can't. So pushing the "road to Heaven" thing is blasphemy in that you are interpreting words and spinning your meaning. Whereas God's word is for personal interpretation.

Locus of Control. We control our thoughts and feelings, other control theirs.

Why? For what purpose?

Lots of people confuse the use of emotions, which is a biological function actually. Emotions are "feelings", and feelings are not facts.

The 5 basic emotions are designed to protect us and allow us to determine fight or flight.
5 Basics: Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, Fear.

Joy created endorphins, which many people equate with Love, or God, or Godly feelings. Those feelings aren't facts, they are the body's attempt to boost endorphins. To feel good, and sharing that good feeling is often associated with love, happiness, family energy, goodness.

So yes, if you are inspired by God, if God gives us the tools to share JOY and health and happiness with others then by all means USE that in our expression.

Expression isn't necessarily used to command others, or to make them believe our feelings, or to make a rule. Expression is to emote one of the 5 basic emotions. (word root).

In my experience the most important thing to understand about God is omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence.

This will determine our belief system, as well as define our path in life. But this is Theology, and Philosophy, not some Humanlike Figure posing as God and all powerful. Belief is an art, ever changing, always a lesson in life, for PERSONAL use.

One more thing, using God as a team isn't healthy.

God isn't on your side, or the symbol of all things good. With maturity and independence we don't become dependent on God for all things.

Anyways I wanted to say before you asked why family should be an open space for God.

To me family was amazing growing up I experienced love .

It was safe.

So to me family is a safe space.

So the fact that the people I love I can’t discuss God glory with breaks my heart.

No, but I am unable to talk about my conviction that Trump this time plays the good guy, and the democrats (everywhere on earth) seem to be the bad, cheating, oppressing ones.

We live in a fallen world where the majority are not spiritual creatures, they are material driven.

Everyone in my family is a Satanist, they are self serving and selfish instead of living in service to others and selfless. They live in apathy, not caring about others as long as their situation is good. They literally worship money as their God, it's all that matters to them. Worldly goods and deeds, never looking beyond the self and ego to ponder the bigger picture and connections to all.

It can be very frustrating, because my family to me are almost like Neanderthals, they grunt and point, they jump in fear or aggression to most things, they are easily distracted by shiny things, etc. Low vibrational and ignorant. I live with purpose and drive and planning... they are reactionary and impulsive, much like animals.

What we are seeing is Biblical, it was all predicted and prophesized long ago, we are witnessing the separation of wheat and tares.

It's becoming much more clear that we have a separation of species at this point, those that have chose to stay in bondage to the current World system and beliefs and those who have evolved beyond it, awake and aware and wanting change.

I yearn to be free of this evil world and the vast majority who willfully and selfishly fight to keep it that way.

Dr Phil did a segment on the Trump divide and politics yesterday. Saying that people mostly repeat what they hear and not facts and that's what causes family disagreement.

Lots of people think it's ok to spew or parrot things they've heard. And that's conjecture, or feelings, and not facts. Nor is is productive to SHARE those feelings, and so pertinently. The urgency to get someone to take our side is a problem.

Here's what Dr Phil was pointing out: we cannot determine what anyone in our family feels or thinks. We cannot determine or control anyone's feelings or thoughts.

We can control our own feelings and thoughts. And we can communicate and CHOOSE what to share with loved ones.

Taking steps to deepen relationships depends on lots of things. How much time we want to invest, what are the benefits and rewards, can we get good healthy endorphins from these relationships.

If others choose to stay in bondage, or lack etiquette, or are not offering anything to a relationship we are not obligated to stay in that relationship. Simple, that's the freedom you are suggesting?

Some people just need an escape or cling to things because it’s all they can mentally hold on to. It doesn’t make them Satanists. Unless they are like performing rituals with snakes and blood in basements ?

Yes. From this I gathered your age is between 16-25.
In Maslow's development this is the stage where family safety and security thrives (or not sometimes for others).

Taking that love and good growth into the next stages of life gives you a step ahead many others. And that gift will last a lifetime, you are blessed.

Not everyone is in the same stage of Maslows, every individual is on an individual path, all intertwining, and presenting challenges. Carrying our experience to others is God's gift, how we present those gifts is an art.

I found good knowledge in Theology and Philosophy classes. Building my knowledge led to greater understanding and peace.

One of the topics in my classes were about the Snake Handlers Pentecostals.

Again that goes back to omnipotence, can God control and assign all things? Um no, snakes will bite. Many people in that Church have died and the whole thing seems like a carnival show.

Free Will. So many good lessons that have been carried through the Ages.

How else do we expect people to love others without conditions.

You have to understand when you talk to me I’m very different . I’m not saying this to boast . Or to brag. I’m just telling you. I’m rare. The way I look at things and how I look at God. Not many like me. I’m Definetly still a major sinner and deserve to go to hell. But thank God for Jesus Christ ! What I’m getting at is that I’m genuinely just interested in beteering my family’s lives. Enriching them with peace and freedom. No mental chains. And I can’t do this. Because they don’t even hear me out.

Why would you want to enrich someone with your definition of better? That's up to them to decide. It's their mental chains, not yours.

Why would you think you deserve to go to Hell? All humans make mistakes. If we make better choices then our lives are enriched. That's free will. Free choice. Personal growth. And how life progresses.

If you want to witness to promote Jesus Christ that sounds like something a Church is pushing. A Church is a business, they pay electric bills just like the rest of us, and have a budget and bookkeeping. Dr Phil mentioned that we repeat what we hear, thinking it's "good" and of value. And sometimes it's just jibber jabber.

Why?

Everyone must hit bottom before they can grow.

The kindest and most merciful thing is to allow someone to hit bottom.

Draw closer to the Lord and you will not be able to hide Him from your family even if you tried to. They may have to broaden their horizons to accommodate the "new you" but with God, all things become possible.

Pray and be consistent with taking every (evil) thought captive that comes into your mind.

As you make yourself available to the Lord, He will use you in ways you wouldn't believe me even if I told you.

I agree. I do all I can to limit contact and communication with my toxic family members. And in many and most cases, have little to nothing to do with them.

I understand that I cannot change them, nor make them see my perspective or be where I am at mentally and spiritually. They haven't done the work, they aren't ready, or perhaps even capable of achieving that higher understanding.

It's still frustrating and disappointing to see them fall and see them fail. It's much like the tale of Noah's Ark. I'm preparing to enter the Ark and leave and know that the flood is coming, while they continue to refuse to accept the truth of what is happening and what is to come.

As it was in the Days of Noah, so it will be in the coming of the Son of Man. The large majority will be living as they normally do, to the very end, not KNOWING or CARING that their world is at an end.

In some ways I envy them, I live with the burden of knowledge and they live in ignorant bliss. I can't save them, I can only save myself and trust in the Holy Spirit to guide me home. They are lost.

It bothers you, because you walk in step with sinners and those who deny God. It should bother you.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

This means you need the company of other Christians and you need to stop hanging around unbelievers. I am talking about your friends. They will drag you down UNLESS you are strong enough in your beliefs to drag them upwards. If you are not, flee from them!
