Glad the Puppy made it!...
The easiest way to have set it free, or anything else free, would have been to cover the Alligators eyes with a hand, tricking it into thinking it was asleep, attacking the snout, if possible, then the jaws would have loosened some...
That is a lucky escape for the Pup in the video though...

Yes, heard of that method too on one of those wild Animal nature shows but heard that you won't be able to get the Alligator onto their backs, without a fight/struggle until you cover their eyes to distract them... So, it's cover eyes first, then try and roll them onto their backs... If all else fails and you must fight, you have to cover their eyes and attack their snouts, apparently... (ETA for spelling)... Thanks so much for posting that. Would've never known.
