Euthanasia laws relaxed in the Netherlands ...!!!
Doctors will also be allowed to give a sedative to advanced dementia patients if they expect the patient will become aggressive or restless because they don't understand what's happening. The doctor also does not have to request a verbal confirmation from a patient with advanced dementia before the euthanasia procedure is performed. "Such a conversation is pointless, because such a patient lacks understanding of these topics," is stated in the code.

And it will be up to the doctor to assess whether a patient is suffering unbearably and hopelessly, the updated code reads. [link to nltimes.nl (secure)]

This month the Dutch government said it would change the regulations to permit doctors to euthanise terminally ill children aged between one and 12, after months of debate within the ruling coalition government. [link to amp.theguardian.com (secure)]

The female patient was suffering from advanced dementia and was no longer capable of giving informed consent about the time she wished to die.

Before her condition deteriorated, the patient had told medics that she had wished to die when 'the time was right'. An earlier attempt to administer the euthanasia medication had failed because the patient had fought back and had to be restrained by a relative. [link to www.dailymail.co.uk (secure)]

It's all about the money people, caring costs money, looking after the vulnerable costs money, but illegal immigrants have more rights to that money than our vulnerable, something to think about.

Last year there were 6,361 cases of euthanasia in the Netherlands – just over 4% of the country’s total deaths. Of these, 91% were in cases of terminal medical conditions. The remainder of the cases involved severe psychiatric illness, including dementia. So not fatal illnesses then. [link to www.thelancet.com (secure)]

This is what assisted suicide looks like at the digitas clinic. It doesn’t look that pleasant as the last thing he does is cry out for water.

In England at one point euthanasia was called the Liverpool Care Pathway. And it was about money. It’s now called DNR. Do not resuscitate and is achieved by basically starving people to death. The LCP is intended to allow people with a terminal illness to die with dignity. But there have been a number of high-profile allegations that people have been placed on the LCP without consent or their friend’s or family’s knowledge.

Concerns have also been raised about hospitals receiving payments for increasing the number of patients who are placed on the LCP. [link to www.nhs.uk (secure)]

And a directive from the UK government to circumvent the travel ban ........ Despite the British government's strict lockdown rules prohibiting travel abroad, people seeking physician-assisted suicide or euthanasia will be allowed to travel, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said.

Hancock told members of Parliament on Friday that flying to the Dignitas clinic in Switzerland would be a "reasonable excuse" under the travel ban, which went into effect on Thursday, The Telegraph reported.

"The new coronavirus regulations place restrictions on leaving the home without a reasonable excuse. Traveling abroad for the purpose of assisted dying is a reasonable excuse, and so anyone doing so would not be breaking the law," Hancock said..

New 'Dr Death' builds a euthanasia machine that claims to let you slip peacefully into oblivion
The machine consists of a capsule that slowly fills with nitrogen until the person inside loses consciousness. Dr Philip Nitschke, 70, developed Sarco with engineer Alexander Bannick in the Netherlands, with the aim of making it available worldwide.

The machine consists of a reusable 3D-printed base containing canisters of liquid nitrogen and a detachable capsule, which doubles up as a biodegradable coffin. [link to www.mirror.co.uk (secure)] This reminds me of the suicide booths in Futurama.

In 30 years, the Netherlands has moved from euthanasia of people who are terminally ill, to euthanasia of those who are chronically ill; from euthanasia for physical illness, to euthanasia for mental illness; from euthanasia for mental illness, to euthanasia for psychological distress or mental suffering—and now to euthanasia simply if a person is over the age of 70 and “tired of living.” Dutch euthanasia protocols have also moved from conscious patients providing explicit consent, to unconscious patients unable to provide consent.
