Then -as now- many considered it to be pretty "out there", despite it's many notable and always outspoken members. And many of its core values were as prescient then as they remain today, anti-Communism not the least among them.

"Better dead than red" was a common theme back then and I'll ask you what's so WRONG about feeling the same way today?
