The moral trappings of our politics were a sham facade to cover up for our horribly evil and corrupt system. Trump and his followers recognized that the whole thing was false and they ripped back the curtain, revealing the ugliness. The "morals" of our politics were already decayed, they just disguised the decay. Trump revealed the system for what it was.
