Quoting: ArchimedesGirl I used to live in a malaria ridden area, and we took chloroquine drops as a preventative. You can make a simple, but effective chloroquine/quinine liquid at home: Slice 2 grapefruits into 8 or 10 pieces Slice 1 lemon and 1 orange and 1 small chunk of ginger into pieces. Add just enough water to cover the fruit. Place a stainless steel bowl on the pot and weight it slightly (a mug) to hold it firmly in the pot. The bottom of the curve should be above the fruit/water mixture inside. As the fruit simmers, leave the bowl on - you want to capture the steam, as it has the good stuff in it. The steam will drip off the bottom curve of the bowl-lid and back into the pot. Let this mixture simmer for 2 hours. Then cool to just warm before removing the bowl. Strain out the fruit pulp. Mix the liquid with honey to taste. I use manuka. Store in a glass jar in your frig. Take as needed. I drank about 1/4 a cup today - no negative side effects. It also relieves achy bones and joints. It also says that Quinine is naturally occurring in CoQ10 as well. He became uncooperative about taking liquids and developed a fever, and so had to be taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with Covid. Two days later (this morning), I also became ill. I awoke this morning with a fever, hurting all over and sore throat. Took ivermectin as well as the homemade chloroquine and homemade Liposomal C. Feeling significantly better now, but still not 100%. Will update later. |

I was feverish, achy, sore throat, miserable yesterday morning. This morning, I feel completely fine and ready to go. I took second dose of ivermectin yesterday and kept up with the chloroquine and L-C every other hour all day yesterday. Slept through the night, and plan to keep up the regimen today even though I feel fine. I'll let you know if it comes back, but so far, I think I kicked it. |

Quinine The bitter compound is one of the primary agents in coffee that give the latter some of its antioxidant properties. Quinine is derived from the bark of a tropical evergreen plant known as Cinchona tree—mainly used in Malaria treatment. The bitterness in some coffee beans can be connected to elevated quinine content. Quinine and coffee belong to the same Rubiaceae family. But more importantly, quinine as an antioxidant becomes more potent after coffee is roasted significantly.Coffee beverages contain tiny amounts of quinine substance, though. Quinine is, in fact, harmful in larger quantities, and some people have allergic reactions to it. But the tiny amounts that have shown up in coffee sample tests are pretty little and approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Apparently they're related. Both drinks contain bitter-tasting caffeine, while coffee contains another bitter molecule called quinine, which is also found in tonic water. Previous research has found that people taste bitter flavours like caffeine, quinine and an artificial substance called propylthiouracil differently according to the types of taste receptor genes they have. Naphthoquinones, Naphthoquinone Glycosides, Naphthalenes Naphthoquinones are a crucial group of plant chemicals that have been extensively studied in the Juglandaceae family. The retention time and the content of the corresponding naphthoquinone compounds are given in Table 2, and their chemical structures are shown in Figure 3. In a comprehensive investigation, 27 naphthoquinones and their derivatives, including four new naphthalenyl glucosides and 23 other known compounds, have been isolated from the green husk of J. mandshurica Maxim [144]. It has been reported that juglone was the most important phenolic compound with the highest content. This naphthoquinone was also detected in other investigations [23,24,26,121,122,136]. Recently, the 3-methoxy derivative of juglone was identified for the first time in Persian walnut husks [121]. Meanwhile, 3-methoxy and 2-methoxy juglone have been found in the green walnut husk of J. mandshurica Maxim [144]. Analyzing the liqueur obtained from the husk showed the presence of 1,4-naphthoquinone in Persian walnuts [26]. This naphthoquinone has been detected by other authors [24,122] in the husk of the Persian walnut. Furthermore, 1,2-naphatalenediol was also isolated from the Persian walnut husk [136], and 1-naphthol and 8-hydroxyquinoline have been quantified by HPLC in the Persian walnut husk [28]. Some derivatives of 1,4-naphthoquinone, including 5,8-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, 2,5-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, 3,5-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, 5-methoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone, and engelharquinone were identified in the husk of J. mandshurica Maxim [144]. Another study isolated a new naphthalenone (4R)-3,4-dihydro-4-butoxy-5-hydroxy-naphthalene-1 (2H)-one from the green husk extract of J. mandshurica Maxim (Figure 4) [80]. Oddly enough they find low K2 in people with more severe covid. And its helpful in someone with covid to take K vitamins. [link to www.drweil.com (secure)] I've been posting all of this because citrus peel has a lot of nutrients but can't find the quinine, however the idea that it only comes from 1 bark, I've disproved, in forms that actually have been used in malaria for example. And in much more readily available forms. And it turns out we need quinine, for example K vitamins are important to regulate blood clotting. Quinines are natural, of course every version is different to some extent. I think they're keeping alot of health information from people because K vitamins are also anti cancer. They don't want people to know what their bodies need, what is anti viral and would keep them healthy. Grapefruit peels contain alot of health benefits and ZINC, COPPER, Potassium, C, Magnesium. They contain Quercetin related flavanoids in the peels and thus are very much like Quinine and Quercetin and in fact the peel can be used in chemo type treatment.
