Upper tooth extraction and very bad pain

I had one of my top teeth removed by the dentist on Tuesday afternoon and the pain is fucking horrible all around the socket and surrounding gum, it kept me awake most of last night, i've had teeth removed before and i've never had bad pain like this, it's usually just a dull ache for a few days then it settles down. This is sore as shit and i don't get much relief. I've used paracetemol, ibuprofen, clove oil, numbing gel, etc. I can see white on the tooth and a little bit of the blood clot left. I called the dentist and told them and she says give it another day or two and see if the pain settles and it's extremely unlikely to get dry socket in upper teeth. Anything for the constant soreness and pain all day long?
